Connor Roberson- Assistant Grape Stomper

IMG_4979I grew up in the Fingerlakes AVA of New York and graduated from Cornell University in May of 2018 with a degree in Enology and Viticulture! While at Cornell I was involved with all sorts of projects from raising Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs to fermenting maple syrup to competing at Challenge Agro Vino Tech (CAV’iT) a blind tasting competition in Reims, France!

I’ve worked harvests all over the US and one international (though eventually I’ll probably do more; Tasmania, Austria and Oregon are high on my list!)

Au Bon Climat and Qupe; Santa Maria, CA (2015)

Peckham’s Cider; Nelson, New Zealand (2016)

Wedding Oak Winery; San Saba Texas (2018)

Gramercy Cellars; Walla Walla, Washington (2018)

Favorite Wines:

Hot summer day: Austrian Grüner Veltliner.

With fried chicken: Champagne!

End of a long week: Coors Banquet in the stubby bottle.

From Hye Meadow: Spoiler alert!!! Our 2019 Nebbiolo...too bad it won’t be released for

3+ years MUWAHAHAHAHAHAAAA I’ll try not to drink it all...

Cheers,
Connor
